A Paper Bag and a plastic bag

The idea of a paper bag sprung to mind when making a zine. It is something that the zine can be presented in and make it look 'tidy'. I decided to use white paper bags but I didn't want them to be plain as would say nothing about the zine when receiving it. I thought about stamping when potatoes came to mind. I started to experiment with a castle shaped potato stamp and stamped one on the paper bag and it looked perfect. It represented everything about castle market that I wanted to put across as the paper bag was edgy and the stamp was rough but details, everything that the Castle Market says about itself.

I also wanted the zine to be something that the receiver could keep so I placed the zine into a A5 plastice wallet. The zine fits inside it well and because it has this protecting it, it will last a lot longer and is something that you can keep forver, unlike the market as it will be knocked down. My aim is for my zine to tell a story about the market but also be a piece of memorabilia.
